US President Donald Trump has pardoned more than 70 people goodbye: his term ends today. The list of those pardoned is published on the White House website.
At the same time, the president refused to pardon himself, the possibility of which he discussed earlier in January. The list of those pardoned includes 73 people. Among them are former Trump adviser Stephen Bannon, his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, former Detroit Mayor Kuame Kilpatrick and political strategist Paul Erickson. The president also pardoned rappers Lil Wayne and Kodak Black.
At the end of December, Trump pardoned former head of his campaign Paul Manafort and former adviser Roger Stone. Manafort and Stone were convicted as part of an investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 US elections. A total of 26 citizens were included in the list, among them was the developer Charles Kushner – the father of Ivanka Trump's husband Jared Kushner. Three more Americans were partially or fully commuted.
