Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump questioned the success of the Republican Party in the upcoming Senate elections. He expressed this assumption at a closed event with the sponsors of the faction. The Washington Post newspaper reported this with reference to a source.

According to the American leader, the Republicans will find it difficult to win because of his unwillingness to support some of the party members. “Actually, I think [it will] be difficult with the Senate. (…) I cannot help some of them. I don't want to help some of them, ”he stressed. It was noted that it was about a pair of legislators.

At the same time, the owner of the White House expressed the opinion that the Republicans will regain control over the House of Representatives, where the majority belongs to the Democrats.

Republicans hold 53 seats in the Senate, while Democrats hold 47. The upcoming November 3 general election will elect a president and vice president, 35 senators, all 435 members of the House of Representatives, 13 state and territory governors, and local governments. Trump and Democrat Joe Biden are fighting for the presidency.

On October 24, Trump voted early in the presidential election in West Palm Beach, Florida. After the president dropped the ballot, he told reporters that he had voted for “a guy named Trump.” He expressed confidence in his victory in the presidential elections.
