Trump pardoned a couple of turkeys at the White House

by alex

US President Donald Trump “pardoned” a couple of turkeys on the eve of Thanksgiving, which is celebrated on November 26. This was reported on the official website of the White House.

The ceremony of pardoning two birds, named Corn and Cob, was held in the White House Rose Garden. A married couple and their children took part in it.

It is noted that, according to tradition, every year on the eve of Thanksgiving the president is brought the main festive turkey and its understudy, whom he will “have mercy” on. Usually birds are given such names so that they are combined in meaning. So, last year Bread and Butter took part in the ceremony.

Earlier it was reported that a dog named Major (from English – “major” or “main”) Democrat Joe Biden, who wins the presidential elections in the United States, will be the first animal in the White House, taken from the shelter.
