The American president considers the reduction in oil prices an important argument.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said that if he wins the election, he will end the war in Ukraine before the New Year. At the same time, he named the method by which he will achieve this.
This was stated in Trump's speech at the New York Economic Club on September 5, which was cited in full by The Singju Post.
According to him, he will be able to end the war in Ukraine even before he officially takes office – according to the regulations, the inauguration takes place on January 20.
“If we win [the presidential election], I believe that I can resolve this war as the president-elect even before I officially take office. I can stop this war, because it is a terrible war. And there are a lot more people being killed in Ukraine than you realize,” Trump said.
Finally, the politician revealed his plan to end the war, which is to cut energy prices by half or more within 12 months of taking office.
“Putin can’t fight with oil at $40,” Trump noted.
Previously, Trump has repeatedly stated his ability to quickly ensure peace upon returning to the presidency.
“I will literally call two people on the phone the same night that I become known as the winner: [Vladimir] Putin and [Vladimir] Zelensky… We will make an agreement within 24 hours,” he said he, without revealing details.
Recall that earlier Donald Trump hinted that Ukraine's operation in the Kursk region (Russia) is fraught with the beginning of World War III, and also named the person who will help end the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
