Without American subsidies, Canada will cease to exist as a viable country, so it must become the “beloved 51st state”.
US President Donald Trump wrote about this on his social network Truth Social.
According to him, the US pays hundreds of billions of dollars to subsidize Canada, but there is no reason for this.
Trump assures that the United States does not need anything from Canada at all.
“We [the US] have unlimited energy, we should make our own cars, we have more wood than we can ever use,” the new owner of the White House claims.
The American president made a tough statement that without a huge subsidy from the US, Canada “will cease to exist as a viable country”.
“Harsh, but true! So Canada should be our favorite 51st state,” he wrote.
Trump added that the Canadian people will have “much lower taxes and much better military protection and no tariffs.”
