New US President Donald Trump announced a number of future appointments to his team.

White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Political Affairs: Stephen Miller – served as Trump’s senior adviser from 2017 to 2021. In the new administration, Miller will play a leading role in implementing the immigration program.
National Security Advisor: Mike Waltz – retired National Guard Colonel, served as Trump’s national security adviser. He served in the U.S. Army for more than 24 years. He carried out combat missions in Afghanistan, the Middle East, and Africa. Since 2018, he has been elected to the US House of Representatives.
Secretary of Defense:Pete Hegseth is the co-anchor of the daily morning news program Fox & Friends on Fox News. He is the author of the bestselling book Battle for the American Mind (June 2022). A former National Guard officer, he served in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Guantanamo. He led the veterans advocacy organization Concerned Veterans for America.
CIA Director: John Ratcliffe – Former Republican from the Texas House of Representatives and former Director of National Intelligence in the previous Trump administration.
Secretary of Homeland Security: Kristi Noem – Governor of South Dakota, the first woman to hold the post.
U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations:
Elise Stefanik – Congresswoman from New York's 21st District. Since 2021 – Chairman of the House Republican Conference (the fourth-highest-ranking Republican position in the House).
Special Commissioner for U.S. Border Security and Immigration Policy: Thomas Homan – served as Acting Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (2017-2018). Held senior positions at Immigration and Customs Enforcement during both the Obama and Trump administrations.
Environmental Protection Agency: Lee Zeldin – former U.S. Congressman from New York from 2015 to January 2023.
Special Envoy for the Middle East: Steven Witkoff – American real estate investor, landlord, and founder of the Witkoff Group.
New Office of Government Effectiveness — to audit the entire federal government — Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy will head it.
Earlier it was reported that one of Trump's nominees for the post of Pentagon chief refused the appointment.
