Trump made a statement about NATO and added a demand for Europe

Donald Trump said he will not leave NATO if Europe “plays fair.”

The 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, said that the United States would “100%” remain in NATO under his leadership if Europe “plays fair.”

This is reported by Politico with reference to an interview with his friend and ally Nigel Farage for the British television channel GB News.

“NATO must treat the United States fairly, because if it weren't for the United States, NATO literally wouldn't exist,” Trump said.

At the same time, during a conversation with the former head of the Brexit Party Nigel Farage, Trump confirmed his loyalty to the Alliance, but warned the EU against “abusing” American support.

“Yes. 100 percent,” Trump responded to the question of whether America will be there if Europe “plays fair.”

According to NATO, about two-thirds of the alliance's 32 member countries now spend on defense at or above the alliance's target of 2% of GDP.

“The United States should pay its fair share, not everyone else's fair share,” Trump said.

Recall that US ex-President Donald Trump did not answer whether he will continue to help Ukraine with weapons, or whether he will allow the head of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to occupy part or all of the state.
