Trump decided not to change plans and is heading to the Republican convention.
US presidential candidate Donald Trump after an assassination attempt on him stated that he was still going to arrive in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as planned.
He announced this on the Truth Social social network, CNN reports.
Trump may have postponed his visit to Milwaukee after the assassination attempt, but announced that his schedule remains unchanged.
“Based on yesterday's terrible events, I was considering postponing my trip to Wisconsin and the Republican National Convention by two days, but just decided that I couldn't allow a “shooter” or potential assassin to force a rescheduling or what “something else,” he wrote.
Recall that on the night of July 14 (in the afternoon, American time) during Donald Trump’s speech in Pennsylvania, gunfire rang out. The ex-president of the United States was urgently evacuated. He suffered an ear injury as a result of the shooting.
Subsequently it became known that explosive devices were found in the car of 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who attempted to assassinate Donald Trump, a US presidential candidate.
