Trump: Israel Agrees to 60-Day Ceasefire in Gaza, Hamas Must Accept Deal

by alex

Donald Trump said Israel had agreed to key terms for a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza, urging Hamas to act quickly or “the deal will only get worse.”

US President Donald Trump said Israel had agreed to the terms needed to finalise a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza and called on Hamas to accept the offer .

“Israel has agreed to a ceasefire – now it's up to Hamas. Accept it or things will only get worse,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social.

He also noted that Qatar and Egypt actively helped to coordinate the details, and American diplomats are already ready to present the text of the agreement to both sides.

“This is the best chance for peace at this point in time, and if it is lost, other opportunities will be far worse,” Trump added.

Note that Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that during the 12-day escalation, Jerusalem did not have the opportunity to eliminate Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. However, if such an opportunity had arisen, Israel “would have destroyed him.”

Let us recall that, meanwhile, Ali Khamenei stated that Tehran gave “a slap in the face to America,” and Israel “was practically brought to its knees and defeated by the blows of the Islamic Republic.”

In addition, Iran has revealed the real consequences of the US attack on its nuclear facilities. Thus, according to the head of the country's MFA Abbas Araghchi, “the losses are significant and serious.” Note that Tehran officially terminated cooperation with the IAEA.
