Donald Trump

The team of incumbent US President Donald Trump plans to close its election lawsuits shortly when the electoral college meets in December. This is reported by The Independent, citing sources.

Trump calmly agrees that lawsuits in key states are doomed to fail, they said. In addition, the president's team encourages his plans to admit defeat and plan for life outside the White House next year.

The electoral college is due to meet on Dec. 14 to confirm the victory of Democratic candidate Joe Biden, a date that Trump insiders believe marks the end of his presidency.

Earlier on November 19, it was reported that the recount of votes cast by voters in the elections will be made in two counties of Wisconsin at the request of the headquarters of the American leader.

Prior to that, it became known that Trump's headquarters waived most of the requirements in the lawsuit, which was aimed at challenging the voting results in the state of Pennsylvania. The claim was filed in a new wording.

Presidential elections were held in the United States on November 3. The counting of votes and the proceedings on this issue are still ongoing. According to the media, the candidate from the Democratic Party of the United States, Joe Biden, received the necessary number of electoral votes to win, thus beating Trump. He has already proclaimed himself US President-elect.

Trump, in turn, said that Biden was quick to call himself the country's new leader. He pointed out that the elections are not officially over yet, and the results will be appealed in court.
