Donald Trump
US President Donald Trump hid the results of the first positive coronavirus test. The Wall Street Journal reported.
The American leader, after a rapid test showed that he had contracted the virus, did not publicly declare this in anticipation of the results of a second more thorough test. The President announced the infection only a few hours after he learned that he was sick.
Trump also gave a media interview, during which he spoke about the illness of his assistant Hope Hicks, but did not expand on the positive result of his test. In addition, the US head asked one of his advisers not to tell anyone about the infection.
Earlier, the US President, who was recently hospitalized after contracting the coronavirus, left the hospital and recovered to greet his supporters. Trump drove past a crowd of Americans who had gathered to show their support for him. After that, the President returned to his room at the hospital.
The American leader announced a positive test for coronavirus on October 2. His wife Melania Trump was also infected. The President promised to immediately begin treatment and quarantine.
