Trump will not order a strike on Iran because he is not confident of success and does not understand what to do next.

Former commander of US ground forces in Europe, retired US Army Lieutenant General Ben Hodges expressed doubts about the ability and determination of US President Donald Trump to strike Iran. In his opinion, the leader of the state has neither confidence in 100% success nor a strategic vision of further steps.

He said this on air during the telethon in the “1+1” slot.

Hodges believes that the US president cannot simply order a strike on Iran because he is “not 100 percent confident that he would succeed if he tried.” Moreover, according to the general, the president “does not have the will or the rationale to take the responsibility and take any risk.”

“And so he, as they say, is stuck in this state, he has no strategic idea of what will happen next. Well, we bomb, and then what will happen? And what is all this for?” the general noted.

Godges also stressed that although enriched uranium is known to exist in Iran, no one knows how to remove it or at least expose its exact location in the context of the nuclear program.

The general also believes that the United States “cannot participate” in curtailing Iran’s nuclear program because the US president does not understand how to do this and does not know whether it will happen at all.”

Recall that Iran made a statement about ceasefire negotiations. Tehran emphasized that it will not conduct any negotiations with anyone in the context of Israeli attacks.
