Steve Witkoff, a representative of former US President Donald Trump, met with Vladimir Putin during his visit to Russia.
This was reported by The Washington Post.
According to Fox News host Sean Hannity, the meeting lasted three and a half hours.
The New York Times wrote that before his trip to Moscow, Vitkoff had direct talks with allies close to Putin. He also discussed Ukraine with representatives of Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Recall that US President Donald Trump's desire to end the war, while keeping Europeans in the dark about how he plans to do so, poses a huge threat to European countries.
