Trump chose an adviser in case he returns to the White House: interesting details from WSJ

We are talking about billionaire Elon Musk.

Future Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump discusses the possibility with billionaire Elon Musk providing him with a consulting role in the event of the ex-president returning to the White House.

The Wall Street Journal reports this, citing informed sources.

The material says that Trump allegedly offered Musk a role similar to the one played by Marvel ex-chairman Ike Perlmutter, a longtime acquaintance of the ex-president who quietly helped him shape policy at the Department of Veterans Affairs.

However, from the publication it is difficult to understand the details of Musk’s potential role in the Trump administration if he returns to the White House.

The billionaire did not officially support the politician, but they met privately in March, when the ex-president was trying to increase fundraising for the election campaign.

Trump and Musk have since developed a closer relationship and exchanged views on immigration, electric vehicles, the US Space Force and the businessman's portfolio, sources said.

Also, according to the publication, Musk and fellow billionaire Nelson Peltz briefed the future Republican candidate on their private efforts to persuade “elite” business leaders not to support US President Joe Biden in the election.

Recall, Trump, who has a pro-Russian position, surprised with his statement. He said he would attack Moscow if it attacked Ukraine during his presidency.
