In Jerusalem they say that they have achieved their goal.
The Israeli government said it had agreed to US President Donald Trump's ceasefire proposal.
This was announced by the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Sky News reports.
It is noted that Israel will respond “decisively” to any violations of the ceasefire agreement with Iran.
The statement noted that Jerusalem had achieved its goal of “eliminating the nuclear and ballistic threat” from Iran, noting that the Israeli military “carried out major strikes on government targets in central Tehran” over the past 24 hours and “killed another senior nuclear scientist.”
“The IDF has achieved complete control over Tehran's airspace, inflicted serious damage on the military leadership and destroyed dozens of central Iranian government targets,” the statement said.
In addition, the country “expresses gratitude to Donald Trump and the United States for their support in this.”
Recall that US President Donald Trump said that the ceasefire between Israel and Iran “has come into effect.” The American leader asks countries “not to violate it.”
According to Trump, he received an appeal from Israel and Iran to end the war and achieve peace. The countries, says the head of the White House, “almost simultaneously turned to him and said: PEACE!”
There is no official position from Tehran yet. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Iran has no formal ceasefire agreement with Israel, but said it would end retaliatory military strikes at 4 a.m.
