US President Donald Trump praised the previous debate with Democratic opponent Joe Biden. He spoke about this during a speech to supporters in Minnesota, reports TASS.
The American leader admitted that he “enjoyed the debate with Sleepy Joe (as he calls Biden).” “The verdict has been passed, and they say that we, we all won a big victory last night,” he boasted.
According to the head of state, he did what the corrupt media refused to do. “I brought Joe Biden to justice for 47 years of lying, 47 years of betrayal, 47 years of failure,” he shared.
Trump added that the ratings for the debate were the highest in cable television history. At the same time, according to the research service Nielsen, 73 million people watched the events on TV. The audience has decreased in comparison with 2016 by almost 15 percent. During the previous presidential race, the first public debate between Trump and Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee, was followed by some 84 million people.
The first Biden-Trump debate took place on September 29 at the auditorium of Case Western River University in Cleveland, Ohio. The second debate of candidates for the presidency of the American state will be held on October 15 in Miami, Florida, the third – in Nashville, Tennessee. The US presidential election will take place on November 3.
