“I created TRUTH Social and TMTG (Trump Media & Technology Group) to confront the tyranny of Big Tech. We live in a world where the Taliban (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) have a huge Twitter presence, but your beloved American president has been silenced. This is unacceptable, “Trump said in a statement quoted by the newspaper.
He expressed his joy that he will soon be able to publish “the truth on the TRUTH social network.”
“TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to everyone. I am glad that I will soon start sharing my thoughts on social truth and will fight against Big Tech. Everyone asks me why no one opposes Big Tech? Well, soon we will!” added Trump.
After the riots in the United States on January 6, 2021, many social networks, including Twitter and Facebook, blocked Trump's accounts. Later, he already opened his own online project, and his former employees launched the social network GETTR on July 1.
