Donald Trump and Joe Biden
President Donald Trump's campaign headquarters gave him some advice ahead of his second debate with Democratic candidate Joe Biden. This became known to the Axios portal.
According to him, the American leader's team urged him not to interrupt Biden during the debate, speak in a calmer tone and joke more. As Axios calculated, during the first debate, the head of state did not let his opponent finish the deal 71 times.
According to the source of the portal, if Trump had allowed Biden during the first debate to speak, and the moderator to ask questions, his rival would have started rhetorical reasoning and would have looked “senile chatty”. “Don't save him,” the headquarters advised him.
“All Trump has to do is give people the opportunity to vote for him. In the first debate, he did exactly the opposite. So, I hope he will be able to improve, because his re-election may depend on this, “- said an interlocutor close to the Trump campaign.
At the same time, the team of the owner of the White House noted that, apparently, he never read the document on the debates for the first round.
Assistants to the head of state are convinced that during the second debate, he will continue to attack the Democrat's son Hunter Biden, the main figure in the Ukrainian scandal.
Earlier, Trump joked about emigrating from the United States in case of losing the presidential elections in November 2020. According to the American leader, his rival is the worst candidate in the history of the US presidential election. The head of state noted that if he loses to Biden, he will have nothing to be proud of and may have to leave the country.
The first Biden-Trump debate took place on September 29 at the auditorium of Case Western River University in Cleveland, Ohio. The next ones are scheduled for October 22nd. The US presidential election will take place on November 3.
