Trump abolished “gender” and allowed only two sexes

by alex

Trump abolishes the term "gender" and introduces mandatory use of the term "sex" in documents issued by the government.

The United States of America will recognize only two genders – male and female, and these genders are not subject to change.

This is stated in an executive order by US President Donald Trump, Reuters reports.

President Donald Trump has ordered that documents issued by the US government use the term “sex” instead of “gender” and be based on a person's unchangeable biological classification as male or female. This is part of a move to roll back policies that support racial equality and protect the rights of the LGBTQ+ community.

“We will create a society that is colorblind and merit-based. From today on, the official policy of the United States government will be that there are only two genders: male and female,” he said.

Donald Trump's moves to roll back diversity, equity, and inclusion policies and to restrict transgender rights coincided with Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a commemoration of the civil rights movement. Human rights activists have promised to protect minorities and appeal Trump's plans, in particular, Human Rights Campaign President Kelly Robinson said that the organization will fight these harmful changes.

Recall that Donald Trump officially became the 47th President of the United States on January 20, 2025.
