A 27-year-old Vinnitsa resident was found dead in an apartment on the third floor, and next to him was a barely living young woman. The first to sound the alarm was a mother who could not get through to her son. She called rescuers who tried to resuscitate both victims, but only a woman was saved. The ambulance managed to bring her to the hospital.
Doctors say that the girl was poisoned most likely by carbon monoxide.
– Detoxification therapy and oxygen therapy were carried out – these are the main activities. She was delivered on time, which made it possible to correct her condition in a day, – said Bogdan Trokhymenko , deputy head of the Vinnitsa emergency hospital.
She is also 27 years old. They lived with the deceased man. On that tragic morning, she cooked in the kitchen and washed the dishes, but she does not remember what happened next. The girl still does not know that her beloved has died.
In this house, each apartment has individual heating. Preventive checks of ventilation ducts seem to be carried out regularly.
However, the chairman of the board of the Association of OSMD Vinnitsa region Elvira Mryasova says that apartment No. 7, where the tragedy occurred, had problems, and the owner even issued an order.
– This apartment has a chimney boiler. That is, the boiler is not the kind that goes out into the street, but into the chimney. The kitchen hood is prohibited for use with such boilers, – she explained.
The chief engineer of Vinnytsiagaz Yevgeniy Mariychuk said that in the case of forced exhaust operation, of course, he could go back draft and, accordingly, combustion products will not be removed through the smoke channel, but accumulate in the apartment.
The owner of the apartment corrected the defect, but the controllers assume that after checking, he returned everything as it was.
What exactly led to the death of the man and the poisoning of his partner, the investigation should finally find out. The tragedy is still being investigated as an accident.
