The husband was left without a phone and an expensive watch.
A 55-year-old tourist from the UK, who wished to remain anonymous, became the victim of two robberies in Mallorca. The incident happened after he left the bar.
The Daily Express reported this.
The man was withdrawing money from an ATM near the popular cocktail bar La Bodeguita Del Medio when a thief ran up to him and stole his iPhone, worth £800. While the tourist was recovering from this shock, two more men approached him and attacked him a second time, snatching a diamond Rolex President Day-Date watch from his wrist.
The tourist valued the watch at around £150,000, although Spanish police noted that its real value was around £100,000.
After a lengthy investigation, the criminals were found. Two 30-year-old Algerians who committed the robbery were sentenced to two years in prison. They sold the watch on the black market for five thousand pounds. The accomplice who bought the stolen watch got six months in prison, and the thief from Senegal who stole smartphones avoided severe punishment and got three months probation.
Recall that in Odessa, a man was robbed twice in one evening. He was left without money, a phone and jewelry.
