Average disbursement amount for sales replacement 21,714 euros
Finance Minister Gernot Blümel (ÖVP) pointed out on Monday – following demands from Vienna – that the current subsidies for tourism and gastronomy depend on EU guidelines. However, a new framework is already in preparation, he emphasized in a statement to the APA. He also noted, however, that the actual payout amounts on average are far below the maximum that is already in force.
“Since the summer we have been putting pressure on the Commission to expand the existing aid framework. The longer the pandemic lasts, the more member countries support this position. An initial success was the creation of a new aid framework to 3 million euros. We are currently working on this the technical implementation, “said Blümel.
The average amount of the sales replacement is currently significantly lower, namely at 21,714 euros. The ministry assured that the help had repeatedly been praised by hoteliers as unbureaucratic and quick.
