From April 5, quarantine will be tightened in Kiev. This was reported by the press service of the Kiev City State Administration.

Today, the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko held a briefing. During it, he said that in recent days in the capital of Ukraine, more than a thousand patients with coronavirus infection COVID-19 or with suspicion of it have been detected per day, 35-40 patients die, 700 people are hospitalized, and there is no tendency to improve the situation yet.

In this regard, the city authorities decided to tighten the current restrictions. From April 5 to at least 16, schools and kindergartens will be closed there, and public transport will transport exclusively workers of critical infrastructure enterprises with special passes.

Food fairs will be closed from April 1.

“We have no other choice. The medical system is choking. Doctors and nurses are already falling off their feet. I hope the people of Kiev will finally understand that they cannot ignore the rules and pretend that there is no virus. They will understand that they will have to endure in order to return to normal life as soon as possible! After all, we are trying to save you. Understand this, please! ” – said Klitschko.
