Polish police have uncovered a group that was kidnapping people

Four Ukrainian citizens were exposed for illegally transporting migrants who were traveling through Belarus to the European Union. The oldest criminal is 40 years old, and the youngest is 20 years old.

In June, the police received a report of the kidnapping of two Ethiopian citizens in Poland. According to the information received, unknown individuals held the people and demanded ransom in cryptocurrencies. If the funds were not received, the gang threatened to kill the victims and sell their organs. In addition, the kidnappers sent photos of the abuse of people.

In addition, the victims were robbed of their money and phones, under threat with a pistol. The men were taken to Lublin locked in the trunk of a car.

The gang members later fled to Latvia, where they kidnapped three Malians. The scheme worked the same way: the victims were tied up and locked in the trunk. The criminals tied one man to a tree and beat him brutally with a wooden stick.

Thanks to the cooperation of the Polish police with the services of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, it was possible to establish the identities of the kidnappers. Three of them were arrested on the highway near Ostrów Mazowiecki. The fourth was detained in Skwierzyna.

The detainees should have been charged with involvement in an organised crime group. However, an RMF FM reporter found out that some of the kidnappers are actually still at large.
