The company listed the main PC games of the year in various categories without specifying prize positions. Among the best and most downloaded titles were DOOM Eternal, Dota 2, PUBG, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, Cyberpunk 2077, Grand Theft Auto V, Among Us and other releases. The most popular games, in which more than 200 thousand gamers were noticed at the moment, were named Terraria, Monster Hunter: World, Destiny 2, among others.
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, Microsoft Flight Simulator, FIFA 21, The Outer Worlds, Death Stranding and other titles turned out to be the main novelties in terms of gross revenue. Golf With Your Friends, Hades, Risk of Rain 2, Squad made the list of the best projects in terms of gross revenues to come out of Early Access.
Also on the Steam list were VR-exclusives for personal computers, which brought their creators the most profit. Service specialists highlighted Blade and Sorcery, Half-Life: Alyx, Arizona Sunshine, Pavlov VR, Superhot VR and other projects.
Previously, the authoritative edition Gamespot called Half-Life: Alyx the best game of the year. “Half-Life: Alyx is such an addictive and well-thought-out game that you forget that you are in virtual reality and begin to perceive reality as it is,” noted media experts.
