During the emergency mode, the sale of alcohol in restaurants and bars in these regions will be limited, and it will be impossible to use the karaoke service.

In addition, the Japanese authorities urge citizens to stop traveling between regions during the summer holidays and vacations during the Obon Memorial Day.

Tokyo has seen a steady increase in the number of cases of the new COVID-19 over the past two and a half weeks. On July 7, 1,030 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded, which was the highest figure since May 13 of this year.
