Toaster company Balmuda has decided to enter the smartphone market. The company does not have its own manufacturing facilities, but expects its partner Kyocera to launch mobile phones by November 2021.
Balmuda wants to develop a smartphone itself. It will support 5G networks. The model will be offered exclusively by SoftBank.
Balmuda noted that smartphones today seem to be the same, and consumers have little choice. Therefore, the company wants to offer a unique product. It is not yet clear what characteristics the phone will have. The manufacturer only notes that the device will be convenient for everyday use. The price segment of the future product is also unknown.
Balmuda hopes to raise $ 24.6 million in its first year of smartphone sales.
