The popular social network TikTok has made changes to its privacy policy. So, innovations provide the company with the ability to collect biometric data of users living in the United States.
These changes in the popular app with short videos drew attention to the publication TechCrunch. Thanks to the updated privacy policy, TikTok has the right to collect biometric data from US users, including both voice data and facial snapshots.
“ We may collect biometric identifiers and biometric information as defined in US law, such as face and voice prints, from your User Content. Where required by law, we will seek any necessary permissions from you prior to any such collection , ”reads an updated section of the application.
