TikTok's short video service has allowed products to be sold to users in the app The feature is in test mode and is available to a small number of retailers in some European countries. Bloomberg reports.
It is known that the program is attended by the seller of clothing Hype, whose tab contains an assortment of goods with prices and photos. The company hopes to replicate the success of TikTok's Chinese version of Douyin, which sold $ 26 billion in merchandise in its first year.
Previously, TikTok allowed in-app purchases only through affiliate programs with Shopify and Walmart – then links to third-party assortment sites were posted in the video.
