TikTok and the Ministry of Education will launch a video competition for teachers

For Teacher's Day, which is celebrated on October 5, Russian teachers were encouraged to share original educational videos on the social network. The competition will last until November 5, teachers from all over Russia will be able to take part. Read more in our newsletter.

TikTok, together with the Ministry of Education, is organizing the #TeacherTikTok contest for the first time in Russia, thanks to which teachers will be able to learn more about the platform and surprise the audience, as well as compete for one of the three iPhone 13 smartphones.

“Participants of the“ Teacher of the Year ”competition of different years, teachers of additional education centers, novice specialists, teachers participating in the TOPBLOG competition, as well as popular creators of the platform have already joined the project”,

School teachers, teachers of pedagogical universities and colleges can participate. They need to register on TikTok and post a short video, accompanied by a hashtag with the name of the contest. A jury consisting of representatives of the social network and the Ministry of Education will evaluate creativity, originality and talent for expressing thoughts.

Teachers will be able to prepare a video for one of three nominations: “Most Creative Teacher”, “Best Educational Video” or “Teacher – Discovery”. In the first category, the winner will be the author who most succinctly and clearly explained the topic and approached it creatively. The prize in the second nomination will go to the teacher whose video gets the most views, and in the third – to the teacher, all of whose videos will be watched the most times during the competition.
