Three Olympic champions at once hinted on the network that they took part in recording New Year's greetings from President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
All three Ukrainian athletes – Zhan Beleniuk, Oleg Vernyaev and Yuri Cheban – posted photos from the same location in their Instagram Stories.
At the same time, Beleniuk and Vernyaev invited their subscribers to guess for what purpose they were wearing formal suits. As one of the options, Beleniuk directly indicated & # 8220; New Year's greetings from the president & # 8221 ;.
Vernyaev gave a similar answer.
It should be noted that Jean Beleniuk is a people's deputy from the Servant of the People faction. At the 2020 Olympic Games, held this summer in Tokyo (Japan), Beleniuk won the gold medal in Greco-Roman wrestling (up to 87 kg) and became the Olympic champion. This was the only gold medal for the Ukrainian national team in Tokyo. The athlete is also a silver medalist at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Gymnast Oleg Vernyaev became the Olympic champion of the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro (in exercises on parallel bars). At the same Olympics, he received a silver medal in the all-around. In addition, Vernyaev is a multiple winner of the World and European Championships.
And canoeist Yuri Cheban twice became Olympic champion: in London 2012 and Rio de Janeiro 2016. And at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, he won a bronze medal.
