Three million Russians can visit Turkey by the end of September
The flow of tourists from Russia to Turkey by the end of September may amount to about three million people, executive director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
The head of the association clarified that the forecast of the ATOR analytical service was drawn up taking into account the preservation of the current dynamics of booking and prices, it does not imply additional antique restrictions. All destinations from Russia to Turkey are taken into account, including Antalya, the resorts of the Aegean coast and Istanbul.
Lomidze added that this figure also includes travelers who were unable to travel to Turkey in April-June. According to the interlocutor of the agency, subject to good weather and affordable prices, the “high” season can continue in October.
Russia and Turkey will open full charter and regular flights from June 22. It is known that Russian airlines will be able to operate flights to the republic from 32 cities with a permit and relevant international agreements. After the resumption of flights, the Antalya authorities expect the arrival of about ten thousand Russians.
Earlier on Tuesday, it became known that the Russians began to refuse vouchers to domestic resorts in favor of rest in Turkey.
