Three men on snowmobiles got lost in the Carpathians: searches continue for the second day

Three men got lost in the Transcarpathian region. They went snowmobiling in the Carpathians and lost their bearings.

As reported in the Main Directorate of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine in the Transcarpathian region, rescuers received a message about the disappearance of three men on Saturday, December 4, at 18.02.

Men rode snowmobiles on the Runa meadow, but in some moment they lost reference and could not return.

– The rescuers received a message that while snowmobiling in the area of ​​the Runa valley, Turye-Remetovskaya territorial community of Uzhgorod region, three men lost their landmark and got lost, & # 8212; noted in the State Emergency Service.

Since telephone communication with men periodically appeared, rescuers decided to direct them on the right path, moving towards them in the mountains.

Four departments of mountain rescuers were involved in the search for three residents of Transcarpathia (these are 20 people and 4 units of equipment). They are exploring the territory near the Runa valley and conducting searches in the mountainous terrain.

In addition, six volunteers in two cars are involved in the search.

The search operation was carried out even at night in extremely difficult conditions: practically zero visibility, blizzard, wind and severe frost (up to -10 degrees).

Already on Sunday, December 5 , at about 13.15, two men lost in the mountains finally got in touch. They informed that they are at one of the camp sites in the village of Lumshory.

At the same time, the third man has not yet been found: the search continues.

On October 5, while climbing Mount Khomyak, a 12-year-old teenager was lost. He lagged behind his parents. In the evening, the rescuers managed to find the lost child.

And in August, during the ascent to Hoverla, he fell behind his relatives and a 6-year-old boy from Kolomyia was lost. The child was found unharmed in the mountains.
