Seismologists have registered three earthquakes in the Sakhalin region with a magnitude of 2.7 to 4.1. This was reported in the Sakhalin branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
“An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.7 occurred in the Tatar Strait near the western coast of Sakhalin. The depth of the focus was 15 km, ”TASS reports.
It is noted that two more earthquakes of magnitude 3.6 and 4.1 occurred near the northern group of the Kuril Islands.
According to seismologists, local residents did not feel the tremors.
Earlier, seismologists recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6e off the coast of Kamchatka.
