Threat to nuclear facilities and shelling of civilians: Zelensky told the President of the European Council about the actions of the Russian Federation

On Monday, March 7, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with President of the European Council Charles Michel the latest actions of the Russian Federation on Ukrainian soil.

– We discussed the threat to nuclear facilities, the shelling of civilian and critical infrastructure. It needs to be stopped. We touched upon the issue of Ukraine's membership in the European Union. The people of Ukraine deserve this,” Zelensky wrote on his Twitter page following the talks.

Meanwhile, Charles Michel stressed that the European Union “stands firmly on the side of Ukraine” and is trying to help alleviate the suffering caused by the aggression of the Russian Federation, as well as to ensure nuclear security for the world.
