Thousands of nurses and employees of public hospitals in Australia took to the streets to protest over low wages and harsh working conditions. It is reported by the Daily Mail.

According to the publication, in the state of New South Wales, the strike of health workers was supported by the trade unions of teachers in the region and the United Union of Australia. The protesters said the coronavirus pandemic had made their work difficult. They complained about the lack of staff and violations of security rules.

Hospital workers have demanded more than the 2.5 percent increase in salaries from the authorities, as they had previously been promised. Work-related risks and health hazards have skyrocketed, they said. It is noted that at least five thousand medical workers took part in the demonstrations.

On February 10, it was reported that in New Zealand, hundreds of people took to the streets to protest against forced vaccination against the coronavirus. Police have arrested more than 50 protesters outside Parliament in Wellington. The demonstrators set up camp on the territory of the parliament and said they would not leave it until the epidemiological restrictions were lifted.
