Zelensky explained why some countries flirted with Putin/Office of the President
Vladimir Zelensky does not believe that all Western countries flirted with Putin. However, there were politicians who hesitated with the choice.
I saw the leaders of small countries with big hearts. For example, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia. Zelensky said this in an interview with the American CBS television program 60 Minutes.
Why did some countries flirt with the aggressor
According to Zelensky, those who have something to lose flirted. Thus, countries with big business, trade and many companies whose offices operate in Russia had difficulties with the choice. Zelensky named Germany, France, Italy.
Money, business, diaspora – all these things affect the leader of the country. Zelensky added that here you can not notice how you start to flirt, because no one wants to leave the comfort zone.
Fight Russia and Putin, supporting Ukraine to the fullest, – this is a way out of the comfort zone, – the president explained.
However, Zelensky admitted that there are fewer such people every day.
