Western partners, in particular — Germany should provide Ukraine with long-range weapons and allow them to be used in Crimea, temporarily occupied by the Russians.
British Defense Minister Grant Shapps emphasized this in an interview with Sky News.
According to him, Great Britain was the first country to allow the use of its weapons for attacks on Crimea, temporarily occupied by the Russians. Later, other allies followed this example.
The decision on this issue was made by the fact that Crimea is Ukrainian territory captured by Russian troops. For his part, Grant Shapps called on partners to provide Ukraine with long-range weapons. In particular, Germany with its Taurus missiles.
“What I would like to see is all of our partners, including Germany, who do have the capabilities to provide such long range weapons, but do not allow them to be used in Crimea, which is part of Ukraine. I think that this is what needs to happen first,” Shapps emphasized.
Recall that the UK is concerned about the close relationship between China and the terrorist country Russia. In Britain, this union is seen as a threat to democratic principles.
