Cedric Fofana
The jump went completely in the pants. The Canadian Cedric Fofana received 0.0 points from the jury for his attempt from the three-meter board.
The only 17-year-old had completely screwed up his fourth jump at his first Olympic start. After two and a half back flips, Fofana hadn't finished the turn in time and slapped her back on the surface of the water. The jump, which actually had a difficulty of 3.5 points, went completely wrong.
The judges had shown themselves merciless after the failed jump, all seven judges rated the jump with 0.0 points. A result that can hardly be seen at the Olympic Games.
After the fifth attempt did not go as planned either, Fofana did not make it into the targeted semifinals. The 17-year-old finished in 29th place.
In Tokyo, however, it was the second time that a jump had been rated 0.0. Fofana's compatriot Pamela Ware had also completely messed up her attempt from the three-meter board, had stopped at the last moment and fell into the water.
