This is no longer just a slap in the face: why Russia and Belarus do not comment on the explosion in Machulishchi

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the blowing up of the Russian reconnaissance aircraft A-50U at the Machulishchi airfield by Belarusian partisans. However, neither Belarus nor Russia has commented on this incident.

Political scientist Valentin Gladkikh believes that there are no official statements from the Belarusian and Russian sides, because this is a very painful moment for them. He told Channel 24 about this.

The main thing is the result

He recalled that the same story was at the airfield in Engels in Russia, where the occupants' strategic aviation was based.

Then something flies in there and explodes. And we understand that this is not just a slap in the face, but a very clear signal that today the reach zone for partisans, special operations forces or the “Ukrainian Mossad” has increased significantly,” the political scientist emphasized.

He also recalled the words of the head of the SBU, Vasily Malyuk, who noted that there were, are and will be “pops” in Russia, and there will be more and more of them.”

“This incident is from the category that we do not need to advertise – we are not a PR agency. The main thing is the result,” Gladkikh said.

The Russians are deeply mistaken

Let the Russians think about whether they have enough tools to protect their military installations, he said.

The political scientist also recalled the discussion about whether military facilities on the territory of Russia and Belarus, from which the Russians strike at Ukraine, are legitimate targets.

In his opinion, if the Russians think that they will shell Ukraine from their territory and remain absolutely unpunished, they are deeply mistaken. And in order to solve this problem, it is not necessary to use the modern types of weapons that we receive from our Western partners for asymmetric responses.

“For asymmetric answers, we have “fighting geese”, “mosquitoes that have escaped from biological laboratories and are destroying Russian occupiers,” or perhaps they were punished by heaven,” suggested Valentin Gladkikh.
