The US President intends to meet with the head of the Kremlin in the near future.
American President Donald Trump called the war in Ukraine “a real atrocity.” They say that young people are dying, buildings and entire cities are collapsing. According to him, he will soon meet with Vladimir Putin.
This was discussed during Trump's speech on Thursday, January 23, at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
“I want to meet with President Putin soon. This is not just about the economy, but about millions of lives. Wonderful young people are dying… They are dying on the battlefield from bullets. As I have said many times, Ukraine is a flat country. There is nowhere to hide, so the only thing that stops enemy balls is the human body,” he said.
Trump also shared his impressions of the information about the fighting in Ukraine.
“I saw the photos of what is happening. This is a real atrocity, a massacre, a slaughter. I'm not talking about the economy, not about natural resources. I'm talking about young people who are dying on the battlefield. Entire cities are being destroyed. And we must stop this,” the US President said.
Recall that US President Donald Trump is waiting for Russia's response to end the war. He said that Ukraine is ready to negotiate an end to the war.
