This is a crime that I did not commit: Ukrainian Kaminska about a positive doping test

by alex

Ukrainian skier Valentina Kaminskaya commented on the result of a doping test, which showed a positive result.

– The shocking news about my doping test at the Olympics is a real disaster and almost the end of the world for me. It was a nuclear weapon that destroyed me and wiped me off the face of the earth!

It sounds trite, but I would never intentionally take such substances. This is not only prohibited, but also meaningless on the part of every athlete, – the athlete wrote on her page on the social network Instagram.

She noted that she could not collect the evidence base “to fight for the truth.”

— My professional skiing career came to an abrupt end. It is with pain in my heart that I write these words and still cannot put all this into my head. I just don’t believe it… All I have to do is survive this ordeal and hope that they won’t give me a “tower” for this crime that I didn’t commit. I feel like a villain who has done something terrible, but I myself do not understand how.

Kaminskaya thanked everyone who is next to her at this stage of life.

On February 16, the International Testing Agency (ITA) reported that Valentina Kaminska tested positive for an anabolic androgenic steroid and two stimulants at the 2022 Winter Olympics.

They noted that the sample was taken during the anti-doping control during the competition on February 10 in Zhangjiakou, China.
