In the Italian city of Bari, thieves stole a Fiat Doblo car owned by an elderly woman suffering from multiple sclerosis. The car, equipped with a wheelchair and a special ramp, was the only means of transportation for the Italian.
The woman's daughter launched a social media campaign urging the thieves to return the car: “Put your hand on your heart and return the car to us!”
The call was heard and the kidnappers returned Fiat. There was a note on the seat: “We also have a heart, excuse us, we did not know about your illness.”
The story did not end there: the happy owner of the newly acquired car thanked everyone for their support and started collecting funds, which she intends to spend on buying a car for one of the local charities helping people with disabilities.
