According to the Prime Minister of Poland, “the Germans will always strive to find a common language with the Russians through the Central European states.”
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki called on Ukraine to be grateful for the fact that Poland has sheltered millions of Ukrainians, and not to trust Germany.
This was stated in Morawiecki’s statement during the congress of the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party under the slogan “Safe Poland,” reports Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
“Poland has received several million Ukrainians, this should not be forgotten “, said Morawiecki.
He also “warned” Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky that the Germans always want to reach an agreement with the Russians over the Central European states.
During a speech in Katowice, the Prime Minister said that the Law and Justice party is working for energy security and a just transition.
He added that just as PiS defends the interests of miners and workers in Polish industry, it also defends the interests Polish farmers. He noted that due to the fact that the European Commission did not extend the embargo on Ukrainian grain, the Polish government did it on its own.
“Since in the interests of the Polish farmer we will not ask anyone for their opinion: not in Berlin, not in Brussels. We act for the benefit of Polish agriculture,” he said.
He also added that he would “protect Polish agriculture from Ukrainian agricultural oligarchs,” and President Zelensky, according to him, recently “spoke out very inappropriately” at the UN.
“I understand that he now thinks that he will have a close alliance with Germany. I warn you, the Germans will always strive to explain themselves to the Russians through the Central European states. It was Poland that accepted several million Ukrainians. Under our roofs, it was the Poles that accepted the Ukrainians, it was we who helped most at the time when the Germans wanted to send 5,000 helmets to Kiev. We should not forget about this, President Zalenski,” the Prime Minister addressed the head of Ukraine.
We would like to remind you that earlier the Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki had already called on Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky “not to insult the Poles” after his speech during the UN General Assembly, where he stated that he“is aware of attempts to conclude any shadow agreements with the Russian Federation.”
