It is known that the 40-year-old driver was sober.

In Poland, in Jaszczów (Lubel Voivodeship), two railway workers were hit by a passenger train while clearing snow from railway tracks. The 64-year-old railway worker died on the spot, while the other was taken to hospital.

This was reported in RMF24.

According to preliminary data, three railway workers were clearing snow from the tracks using a so-called blower. One of them noticed the train at the last moment and managed to jump away.

“Perhaps they did not hear the noise of the arriving train. One man was run over and died on the spot. Another was thrown off the track and was taken to the hospital,” said Voivodeship Police spokesman Andrzej Fijolek.

The men may have been wearing muffled headphones and the snow made visibility difficult, Fiolek said.

Let us remind you that in the Poltava region, a 25-year-old man was pulled under a train by a flow of air. Fortunately, everything worked out fine.
