The gondolier asked travelers to take their seats, but was ignored.
A group of tourists who were warned from taking selfies while on the gondola in Venice, was left overboard when the boat capsized in an Italian canal.
The Independent writes about this.
According to local media, while passing under a low bridge near Piazza San Marco, the gondolier's alleged requests for passengers to remain seated and stop taking photographs were ignored, resulting in an incident.
Footage posted on TikTok shows tourists clinging to the side of a capsized boat or swimming towards boats after a cold plunge into the waters of Venice.

By ignoring the warning, taking selfies and getting up from their seats while the gondola was moving, the passengers upset the balance of the boat's center of gravity, causing the ship to capsize.
The video has been viewed more than 4.2 million times and viewers don't seem to have much sympathy for Chinese tourists.
