In the Volyn region, a 28-year-old young man was detained, who, together with a friend, robbed a man. They attacked their victim right at the entrance.
The incident took place on February 10 in Kovel. The victim's wife turned to the police, who said that her husband returned home beaten and without a bag, where there was a considerable amount of money.
In the course of priority investigative actions, it turned out that two residents of the city of Lutsk, aged 28 and 30, were involved in the daring robbery. To do this, the police worked for several days with surveillance cameras and other details provided to the victims.
“They were already detained today in Lutsk by employees of the Criminal Investigation Department, Kovel operatives, investigators and patrol policemen. One of them already had problems with the law and was tried for similar crimes, the report says.
The robbery was planned by two men in advance. Whether the attackers were familiar with their victim, the police did not say.

Criminal proceedings have been opened under part 4 of article 187 (robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. During searches in the apartments of the suspects, investigators found material evidence confirming involvement in the robbery in Kovel.
In the near future, both robbers will choose a measure of restraint. If the court proves the men guilty, they could face up to 15 years in prison. The pre-trial investigation continues.
