The EU will be responsible for European security, the US will be responsible for containing China.
Ukraine should not expect help from the US, because that Plan B is being considered with frozen Russian assets, which was discussed a year ago.
Diplomat, international affairs expert Ruslan Osipenko said this during a broadcast on the Espresso TV channel.
He believes that in the future it will be about increasing assistance from Europe, and the United States will fade into the background.
“The United States did not just enter into an internal discussion about help for Ukraine. They have already warned the Europeans that they do not have enough resources for all the conflicts that Moscow and Tehran are fueling,” the diplomat noted.< /p>
According to him, responsibility is now being distributed across areas in the world. Europeans will be responsible for European security, Americans will be responsible for containing China.
“That is, you should not expect help from the United States because option “B” with frozen Russian assets is being considered. A year ago it was said that if there is not enough potential, then there is option “B” , and then we will actively consider and make decisions on this issue,” explained Osipenko.
According to the diplomat, the decision to confiscate the frozen assets of the Russian Federation is unpopular because it undermines the foundations of the capitalist system in relation to private property.
“That's why Lindsey Graham (member of the Republican Party and the US Senate – ed.) spoke about the Middle East, that their attention is now focused there, that they also have China, that the United States has a lot of problems and they are looking strategically on the development of the situation around the world.” That is, Europe will do more for us, and the United States will move aside,” Osipenko noted.
Let us recall the visit of Republican Senator Lindsey Graham to Kyiv. It was noted that America's unwavering support is critical to Ukraine's success in resisting an illegal full-scale war with Russia, and Lindsey Graham called on Ukrainian lawmakers to pass a new law on mobilization.
