According to the report, the attack occurred on the evening of July 10th. A 17-year-old guy from Ukraine, along with five friends, spent time near a pond on the site.
According to the guy’s mother, at about 9 p.m. they were approached by four young Poles who demanded cigarettes. When they didn’t receive them, they began to behave aggressively. A 17-year-old boy came to the defense of his friends, a brawl ensued, during which the attackers used tear gas and bladed weapons – a machete. The attackers cut off one of the fingers of a young man from Ukraine. To escape from the aggressive Poles, the guy jumped into the water.
The publication claims that the Krakow police are currently establishing all the circumstances of the incident. Nothing has been delayed yet.
The tvn24 publication clarified that on Monday, July 15, the police announced the arrest of three suspects. These are guys 15, 16 and 17 years old. The youngest of them was detained the day after the incident. According to police, the guy was on leave from school and had committed other criminal acts in the past. The 16- and 17-year-old boys were detained by police on Friday.
“As it turned out, the eldest of them was wanted due to the fact that he had escaped from the Youth Youth Center in Gorlitsy. During a search of the apartment where the 17-year-old was, an object was discovered and secured, which was most likely for striking a wounded citizen of Ukraine,” says the message of the Main Police Department of the city of Krakow.
All three are charged with complicity in assault with a dangerous weapon. “The perpetrators are charged with hooliganism, for which the punishment will be increased. In addition, the oldest perpetrator is charged with causing bodily harm,” the police say.
Law enforcement officers added that the 17-year-old boy was temporarily arrested for three months. It is also noted that other persons may also be held liable.
Recall that in Poland, four young Ukrainians kidnapped a 23-year-old man.
