Obviously, the invaders are very afraid of attacks from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
It became known that on October 31, 2023, the Russian invaders concentrated 21 Ka-52 and Mi-8 helicopters at the air base in the city of Taganrog. Most likely, these are exactly the helicopters that the Russian army kept at the airport of temporarily occupied Berdyansk before the attack by the Ukrainian Defense Forces using ATACMS on October 17, 2023.
Defense Express writes about this with reference to a satellite photo released by military analyst Brady Afrik.

Details
The publication notes that as of October 29, that is, less than 2 weeks after the strike, the aircraft were withdrawn from the Berdyansk airfield. It can be assumed that those vehicles that have retained combat capability are located in Taganrog. If we also consider the graphical categories, it appears that the Russians have simply moved their attack helicopters to possibly support troops in other areas.
“If you measure the distance to the front line from Taganrog to Volnovakha, then it comes out to 130 kilometers, and for comparison, the distance from temporarily occupied Berdyansk to the front line in the Zaporozhye direction is approximately up to 120 kilometers, and this despite the fact that the practical flight range is declared Ka-52 – up to 480 kilometers,” notes Defense Express.
It is quite possible, journalists add, that the Russians intend to use Taganrog not only as a new take-off site for their attack helicopters, but also as a kind of “transfer point” for the repair of their “boards” of army aviation. It is great that the occupiers realize: new ATACMS strikes from the Ukrainian Defense Forces at enemy airports are inevitable.
Let us recall that the Russian invaders placed air defense systems and radar stations at the Belbek airfield near occupied Sevastopol. This is evidenced by satellite images.
